  • Prices are in Mexican pesos (MXN) and include IVA (Mexican VAT). You see the total before you pay.
  • You reserve by paying a 50% deposit by card. Payments are processed through Openpay; we never see or store your card details.
  • Cancellations, date changes and refunds follow the cancellation policy; your personal data, the privacy notice.

1.Who we are

Lucio Fabián Martínez Delgado, who operates under the trade name Lucid Adventures Vallarta, with address at Marina Real 605, Col. Albatros, C.P. 48315, Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco, México, is the one who provides the service and who answers for this site.

You can reach us on WhatsApp, by email at [email protected] or by phone at +52 322 128 5901.

2.What you are hiring

  • Private charters. You rent a boat with its crew for your group, for the number of hours you choose and leaving from the pier you choose. Stops and activities are optional: you can set them when you book or later, with our team or with the captain.
  • Your boat. You can book a specific boat or a type of boat. If you book by type, we assign you one of that type.
  • Transport. We also offer water transport, which is booked and paid for the same way.
  • Extras. You can add extras to your trip (for example, food, drinks or photos). What each one includes and its price are shown when you choose it.
  • You must be of legal age to book.
  • If we can’t provide the service for a reason that is ours, the cancellation policy says what applies.

3.How a reservation is made

  • You build your trip on the site: the day, your group, the boat, the hours, the pier and, if you like, the stops, activities and extras. The availability and price you see are worked out at that moment.
  • To reserve you give us your name and email (the phone is optional) and pay the deposit. Check that your details are typed correctly: that email is where we send everything about your reservation.
  • When you go to pay we hold your boat for about 15 minutes. Your reservation is confirmed when we receive your deposit. If it isn’t paid in that time, the hold is released on its own and nothing is charged.
  • With your reservation you get a booking number and the link to your reservation page. There you see your trip, pay the balance and can request a cancellation. You can also open it in My booking with your booking number and email.
  • Online booking for a day closes at 22:00 (Puerto Vallarta time) 2 days before. Day trips leave from 8:00 and are back by 18:00 at the latest.

4.Prices

  • All prices are in Mexican pesos (MXN) and include IVA (Mexican VAT). Before you pay you see the total of your reservation and how much is charged that day.
  • The price of your reservation is the one shown to you when you paid your deposit. If the prices on the site change later, a reservation already made does not change.
  • Gratuities for the crew are not included; 15% to 20% is customary, depending on the service.

5.Payments

  • Card payments and SPEI bank transfers are processed through Openpay, by way of the ArqIA payment platform. You type your card details on their secure payment page: we do not receive or store them.
  • Your bank may ask you to confirm the charge (3-D Secure).
  • Charges are made in Mexican pesos. If your card is from another country, your bank does the conversion and may charge fees that are outside our control.
  • The deposit, the balance, their deadlines and what happens with an overdue balance are in “How you pay for your reservation”, in the cancellation policy.

6.Cancellations, date changes and refunds

They follow the cancellation, date-change and refund policy, which is part of these terms. The rules for bad weather and port closures, and how a refund is made, are there too.

7.On the day of your trip

  • Arrive 15 minutes before your departure time at the pier of your reservation.
  • Your charter time starts counting 10 minutes after the scheduled departure.
  • The number of passengers cannot be greater than the boat’s capacity.
  • The captain is the authority on board. For safety the captain may change the route, shorten a stop or return to port, and the captain’s instructions must be followed.

8.Extras and rented equipment

  • GoPro camera. The camera is rented, not included: it comes back at the end of the trip. A lost or damaged camera is charged in full.
  • Drone video. The drone is flown by our operator only. Guests do not pilot it at any point.
  • If an extra has conditions of its own, we show them when you choose it, before you pay.

9.Using the site

  • We work to keep the information on the site (photos, descriptions, prices and availability) correct and up to date. A boat’s availability is only secured when you pay your deposit.
  • The brand, texts, photographs and design of the site belong to Lucid Adventures Vallarta or to their owners. You may not use them for commercial purposes without permission.
  • Do not use the site to make false reservations, to try to open other people’s reservations or to disrupt how it works. To protect the site we limit repeated attempts.

10.Your personal data

We handle your data as described in our privacy notice.

11.Governing law and complaints

  • These terms are governed by the laws of Mexico, in particular the consumer protection law (Ley Federal de Protección al Consumidor) and the tourism law (Ley General de Turismo). They do not limit the rights those laws give you: if the law gives you a greater right than the one described here, the law applies.
  • If you have a complaint, write to us first on WhatsApp, at [email protected], or call +52 322 128 5901: we want to solve it with you. Our address is Marina Real 605, Col. Albatros, C.P. 48315, Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco, México.
  • You can also go to Mexico’s consumer protection agency (Profeco), at gob.mx/profeco.
  • These terms are written in Spanish; the English version is a courtesy translation.

12.Changes to these terms

Your reservation is governed by the version in force on the day you paid your deposit. If we change these terms, we will publish the new version here with its date.
